I’m sure you’ll get responses from people who know better than I do but I think it’s eyesight that’s the main factor. I had tinnitus for years until I started using garlic and niacin every day. It took maybe six months to stop but it worked.

Tinnitus in and of itself should not. The question is whether your tinnitus reflects some more serious condition. Have a complete blood panel to eliminate suspicion of diabetes, liver or kidney disease, or other condition that might underlie tinnitus.
Good luck!

Some people with tinnitus have difficulty discerning certain
sound levels. Being able to clearly and quickly understand ATC radio transmissions is crucial. As long as you can pass the hearing exam and medical, you should be able to realize your dream.
