Tinnitus and talks real loud means there is Tinnitus and progressive deafness. Should be attended to by a doctor. If it is due to loss of liquids or if there is auditory vertigo or withdrawal from society, with nausea and dizziness Natrum Salicylicum will cure her. If there is Otosclerosis, i.e. the bone obstructing the passage, medicines may not help much except Hekla Lava which helps in some persons. There are many other medicines for tinnitus for various kinds of sounds from humming, buzzing, cracking to sound of moving steam engines etc. Medicicnes should be taken in consultation with the doctor after carefully arriving at the reasons. Verbascum (Mullein Oil) two drops in each ear at a time can give temporary solution. with best wishes.

There are some over the counter supplements specifically for tinnitis and some people get some relief by using these. There is also an elevated blood pressure component that might cause this – does she have a normal range blood pressure (120/80)? Sinus congestion can also contribute to this and an over the counter decongestant taken for a week or so might clear it up. And, some medications can cause this. There are several causes and each treatment is a little different so without her seeing a doctor, it is trial and error on finding something that will work. And, tinnitis can become a chronic problem and never goes away. Those people often seek help from a tinnitis clinic which teaches methods so that you don’t notice the noise as much but they usually require a medical exam from a family physician prior to beginning treatment.

No. I have it in the left ear. It’s permanent damage to small hairs in the middle ear.

No. There are a few experimental medications and masking treatments to lessen the attention that the brain gives to the noise, but no cure. However, some people have experienced relief by receiving either chiropractic care or acupuncture.

after having no luck finding white noise on the internet, this person made his own sound files to help their baby fall asleep. there are a lot of downloads: there are white noise files and ones with heartbeats & other sound effects.

this website has a flash app that plays white noise, you can adjust volume & oscillation. there are also some downloads:

they have a lot of mediation, lo fi, new age-y music. Michael Wehr and Celestial Aeon Project are two artists i recommend for chill-out music, but if you search minimalist, nature or white noise you are sure to find something. there are reviews so you can get an idea of what you are getting.

i have struggled with insomnia my whole life, so i know how you feel. i wear earplugs & that helps me, though it may not help with ringing in the ears. my boyfriend’s dad has tinnitus and he uses an over-the-counter medication for it, so that may be something you can look into. good luck. ^_^

Tinnitus can be caused as a side effect from some medications, particularly aspirin. If you are taking any medications I would suggest checking into potential side effects of each. Your local Pharmacist should provide you with written information about any prescriptions you are taking.
